Coast pair star in NRL opening round

March 10, 2025

Several local juniors starred in the opening round of the NRL at the weekend.

Harry Hayes came off the bench against Saint George-Illawarra, and had the best game of his career for Canterbury Bankstown.

The former Entrance Tigers forward had close to 150 running-metres from just 12 carries.

In the same match, Wyong Roos product Jacob Liddle scored a stunning try for The Dragons.

It was the 21st of his career, but not enough to secure the points in a brutal local derby.
