Newcastle director wins AACTA award for ‘Boy Swallows Universe’

A Newcastle director is back home, after success at the AACTAs.

Bharat Nalluri’s TV show, Boy Swallows Universe, winning the award for Best Miniseries.

‘We’ve been on a bit of a wave of awards. Hopefully this one, but we’re up for the international Emmys as well, so please! We’ve got to stop patting ourselves on the back sometime, there’s been a lot of celebrating!’ Nalluri said.

Nalluri is currently putting the finishing touches on a new film, set for release next year.
