Six teens charged after alleged pursuit spans Hunter Valley region
Six teens have been charged after an allegedly stolen Land Rover reached speeds of 170km/h in a police pursuit overnight.
The pursuit started after officers in the NSW Hunter Valley were told a Land Rover, which had been reported as stolen, was spotted on the Hunter Expressway following an earlier pursuit.

The car was stolen from a home in Valentine earlier in the day.
Police tried to stop the car and started a pursuit when it failed to stop.
Officers on the ground stopped following the car before they were forced to call off the pursuit for safety reasons.
PolAir continued to monitor the car, which allegedly hit speeds of 170km/h in a 100km/h speed zone.
Road spikes were deployed twice in Belford and Muswellbrook.
The Land Rover finally came to a stop on the New England Highway in Muswellbrook, where the people in the car allegedly tried to flee on foot.
Two boys aged 17, one boy aged 16, two girls aged 16 and one girl aged 15 were arrested and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.
They were all charged with being carried in a car without the consent of the owner.
All but the 15-year-old were refused bail and will appear in children’s court today.
The 15-year-old was granted conditional bail and will appear in children’s court on February 11.
The investigation is ongoing.
