Hamilton finished their season on a high note after defeating premiership contenders Merewether on Saturday at Townson Oval. But it wasn’t enough to get them into the finals.

Merewether’s Hayden O’Brien and Hawks’ Laufiso Vaisagote scored 2 tries a piece and Kalani Grant kicked 5 conversions. The final score was 40-29.

Merewether will take on in-form minor premiers Maitland in the major semi-final on Saturday.
