BALLINA MOTHER’S DAY CLASSIC CELEBRATES ITS 10TH YEAR

Ballina’s Mother’s Day Classic Fun Run returns in full swing after two years of modified events.

Organisers are celebrating its 10th year in action – with event organiser Jo Parker hoping to reach $100,000 in donations.

“It’s a lovely way to start Mother’s Day but the funds go to vital breast cancer research becasue the statistics are 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime,” Parker said.

The 4.5km run or walk begins 9AM Sunday – with the local Lions club putting breakfast on afterwards at Missingham Bridge Amphitheatre – Kingsford Smith Drive, Ballina.
