When the Newcastle Knights won the Rugby League Grand Final in 97, the celebrations that followed, were unforgettable.
The reception at the Workers Club that night was electric, the ticker tape parade the following Tuesday was an occasion usually reserved for royalty and rock star.
Tens of thousands lined the streets of Newcastle, as their heroes travelled through the city, parting the sea of red and blue supporters on their way.
