THEO HAYEZ CORONIAL INQUEST HEARS NEW EVIDENCE FROM TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROFESSOR

The Coronial Inquest into the Disappearance of Theo Hayez continued at Byron Bay Local Court today.

The Inquest heard evidence from Telecommunications Professor Aruna Seneviratne, who undertook a site tour earlier today of significant locations Theo visited the night he disappeared.

The Professor told the court, after assessing the topography from Byron’s phone tower to the Lighthouse Headland, a phone signal would be unobstructed.

He explained how this indicates his map of Theo’s route, using cellular data points, is reasonably accurate.

The Inquest will continue tomorrow.
