GENEROUS FORSTER TRADIES DONATE TO LOCAL CHARITIES

It’s been a tough two years for the building industry, but a group of tradies in Forster have still been able to give back to local charities.

The group recently held a get-together and raised $7000 – split amongst the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Manning Suicide Prevention Network and Lower Mid Coast Rotary Club.

They also used the occasion to chat about tradies’ mental health in light of the pandemic.

“We couldn’t get supplies and people, put us under a lot of pressure last year basically to honour contracts,” Scott Fletcher said.

“So difficult to build houses and to keep your men and keep them healthy and battling through the whole thing,” Danny Godwin added.

They’re hoping to get more tradies on board for a bigger and better event later this year.
