FOUR MEN CHARGED IN RELATION TO CENTRAL COAST DRUG LABORATORY

Four men have been charged as police continue to dismantle a large, clandestine drug laboratory on the Central Coast.

Detectives from Strike Force Kavieng started to investigate activities relating to an illegal drug syndicate across the state last year.

Following extensive investigations, detectives – with assistance from the Riot Squad – executed a crime scene warrant at a property in Blue Bay and another at a Long Jetty address.

Two men – aged 43 and 48 – were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station after they attempted to flee the Blue Bay home.

Police then proceeded to locate more than $100,000 cash and approximately one kilogram of methylamphetamine inside their car.

A short time later, officers arrested a 37-year-old man at the Long Jetty home.

Meanwhile, a fourth man was arrested in relation to the activity in Sydney.

Several items consistent with the manufacture of prohibited drugs were located at both properties, while at the Blue Bay address, officers also uncovered a clandestine laboratory containing various chemicals and solvents.

The property was rendered safe by authorities and the items seized continue to be examined.

All four men were charged with a raft of offences and refused bail.

Investigations continue.
