Tamworth’s case numbers have almost tripled overnight, with a record-breaking 254 fresh infections.
Sixty of the cases are from Gunnedah, Moree recorded 49, Armidale 46, and Liverpool Plains 25.
With changes to PCR testing requirements, health authorities have decided to keep Tamworth’s drive-through testing clinic at the Marius street site.
