GOLD COAST RETIREE COULDN’T BELIEVE $1MIL GOLD LOTTO WIN

A generous Mermaid Waters retiree says she wants to give her $1 million Gold Lotto windfall back to the community. The Gold Coast resident held one of the six division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4215.

Each division one winning entry took home $1,012,907.10. When a Lotto official made contact with the Queensland winner, she took some convincing she was one of the weekend’s division one winners. “You are kidding, aren’t you?” she began to question. “I can’t believe it. “Are you serious? You aren’t tricking me? “Oh my god. Oh my god. “Wow! Wow! What a lovely Christmas present! “How marvellous. That’s fabulous. “Wow. That’s amazing. Thank you so much. “I am retired, so this will be very, very nice,” she said. “I have a long list of things I’d love to do should I one day win the lottery. “I’d love to do some charity work in regional Queensland and take all my friends on a lovely holiday. “It will be amazing!” Her 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Supercentre News in Mermaid Waters.  Team member Kerry Shaw said she couldn’t be happier for their customer. “I was super excited when I found out we’d sold a division one winning entry,” she said. “The last division one win we had was in 2018, so we were certainly ready for the next one. Congratulations to the winner!”
