YOUNG BOY FLOWN TO HOSPITAL WITH SUSPECTED TIGER SNAKE BITE

A young boy is recovering after suffering a suspected tiger snake bite at Inverell.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter transferred the seven-year-old to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, just before 7pm last night.

He’s reported to be in a stable condition.

The incident comes amid a rise in snake numbers across the north-west, with locals urged to keep an eye out.
