WEATHER AND FLOOD WARNINGS RETURN ACROSS THE NORTH WEST

More wet weather is on the way across the New England North West.

There’s already major flooding occurring in Mungindi but the levee is keeping residents dry.

Friday’s peak could isolate the community for a number of days.

40 millimeters has already fallen in Gunnedah – and the Namoi is expected to have renewed river rises.

“We’re already seeing major flooding so this risk of these severe thunderstorms and that heavy rainfall that we’ve seen already and also the potential for more rain has the potential for more renewed river rises.”

Flood warnings are back for the Upper Macintyre, Gwydir, and Peel rivers.
