A man is recovering in hospital after a truck he was driving rolled at Halfway Creek on the Mid North Coast early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway between McPhillips Road and Kungala Road just after 1am.

When paramedics arrived, the man, aged in his 60s, was found trapped inside the cab of the truck – but he was freed soon after.

The driver was treated on scene for back and head pain, as well as cuts to his body – before he was transported to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital in a stable condition.
