COVID CASES CONTINUE TO GROW IN NORTHERN NEW SOUTH WALES

New South Wales recorded 249 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 overnight.

73 of the cases are in the Hunter New England region – where there’s currently 829 active cases.

Fifteen are from Moree Plains, 15 are from Newcastle, 14 are from the MidCoast, 7 are from Lake Macquarie, 6 are from Tamworth, 6 are from Cessnock, 4 are from Port Stephens, 3 are from Inverell, 1 is from Armidale, 1 is from Maitland and 1 is from Singleton.

Meanwhile, there 21 new infections the Mid North Coast Local Health District.

Seven of the cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, six are from Kempsey LGA and there are four cases each from the Nambucca Valley and Coffs Harbour LGAs.
