It was a tough night at the office for Wingham’s Maitlan Brown as the Sydney Sixers were handed a 30 run loss by the Melbourne Stars in the WBBL overnight.
Brown was the most expensive of the Sydney bowlers, belted for 38 runs off her four overs.
Needing 140 for victory, the Sydney side then suffered a batting collapse – not helped by Brown who was dismissed for a golden duck by Tess Flintoff.
The Sixers are back in action against Thunder on Saturday.
