SIX TEENS CHARGED OVER POLICE PURSUIT ON THE MID NORTH COAST

Six teenagers, have been charged after a police pursuit on the Mid North Coast.

Just before 2pm on October 19, police noticed a stolen Kia Rondo travelling north along the Pacific Highway at Dirty Creek.

Police tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn’t stop, starting a pursuit.

The Kia continued along the Highway for more than 100 kilometres, and the pursuit was terminated a number of times.

Police allege the vehicle crossed to the wrong side of the road, and several items were thrown at police.

Road spikes were put out at Iluka, before the car crashed into two marked police vehicles.

Officers arrested five teenage boys aged between 13 and 18, and a 15-year-old girl.

They were all taken to Grafton Police Station.

18-year-old Queensland man was charged with seven offences including reckless driving, driving while disqualification and receiving stolen property.

He was refused bail to appear at Grafton Local Court on October 20.

A 13-year-old boy, two 14-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were also charged with several offences.

Inquiries are continuing.
