WINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOL CAUGHT UP IN COVID OUTBREAK

A second school is caught up in the Mid Coast covid outbreak.

Wingham Public has closed after a case was detected in the school community.

It follows Chatham Public yesterday – but staff and students will return Monday.

Two cases were reported in Taree overnight, with the Taree Pet Barn and Centrelink named new exposure sites.

A drive-thru swabbing clinic will open at Taree Showground on Monday.

Further north, four cases were reported at Kempsey and one at Grafton.
