BOGGABRI MAN WINCHED INTO RESCUE HELICOPTER AFTER 5M FALL

A 21-year-old man has been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital after falling about 5 metres while rock climbing near Boggabri.

Multiple ambulance crews and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter team were called to the popular climbing spot at Gin’s Leap just after 12:30pm.

The man had sustained multiple abrasions and suspected spinal injuries in the fall.

He was treated on scene before being winched into the helicopter.

Tonight, he remains in a serious but stable condition.
