23 ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES IN HNEH HOSPITALS, 4 PEOPLE IN ICU

New South Wales has seen another drop in case numbers.

In the last 24 hours, 360 cases were recorded from around 89,000 tests.

Meanwhile, there’s another 47 new COVID cases in the Hunter New England Health District;

– 13 in the Maitland LGA
– 11 in the Lake Macquarie LGA
– 9 in the Cessnock LGA
– 6 in the Newcastle LGA
– 3 in the Port Stephens LGA
– 3 in the MidCoast LGA
– 2 in the Tamworth LGA

18 cases were infectious in the community, and there are 23 active cases in hospital – with four people in ICU.

There’s now more than 1,100 active cases in the whole region.
