GAV’S WEATHER | WIDESPREAD RAIN ON THE WAY

Consistent onshore winds on along the east coast as helped to build moisture content over the easter half of the country which is now covered in patchy cloud.

There’s a slow moving system moving in from the west which will tap into the moisture built up delivering widespread rain to eastern Australia from tomorrow.

It’s a classic set up for widespread inland rain.

A cut off low is moving into western NSW also helping to draw tropical moisture southward.

The high over the Tasman has been generating consistent onshore winds driving moisture in from the east.

All of this will begin to come together from and inland rain will begin to fall over much of NSW northern Vic and southern QLD.

Numerous rain bands with storms embedded will sweep across the region producing some good rain totals especially inland west of the Divide.

There won’t be as much rain on the eastern side but there will be plenty of cloud cover as the system moves through clearing in time for the weekend.
