NEW SOUTH WALES RECORDS 1043 NEW CASES

New South Wales has recorded 1043 new COVID cases overnight and 12 deaths.

Of the new cases, 38 are in the Hunter where numbers remain stubbornly high.

34 are on the Central Coast and one is on the mid north coast.

The virus has been detected in sewage at South Lismore overnight – an area which has just come out of lockdown.

Of the Hunter’s 38 new cases, 19 were infectious in the community and only 15 have been linked to known cases or clusters.
