MAN PINNED BY TREE TRANSPORTED TO JOHN HUNTER HOSPITAL

A 40-year-old has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after a tree fell on him on his Yannergee property.

The Westpac rescue helicopter and paramedics were called to the scene at just after seven last night.

He was transported to Premer with part of the branch still in his leg, before being stabilised and transported to Newcastle.
