SOME LGAs OPEN WHILE OTHERS SLAM SHUT

Freedom day has arrived out the blue for parts of New South Wales, with lockdowns lifted in 12 LGAs from one o’clock this afternoon… and with less than two hours notice.

Five of those are in the state’s north – restrictions easing for residents living in the Dungog, Singleton, Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter council areas, along with Narrabri.

But there’s bad news for Lismore, which has been plunged into a one-week lockdown.
While in Singleton there’s been a push to let the Upper Hunter out.
