THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS RETURN TO SCHOOL

Thousands of students across the far north coast returned to the classroom today for the last week of term.

Teachers thrilled to resume face-to-face learning after five weeks of lockdown…even under strict COVID rules.

“There are certainly safety measures in place to ensure both our staff and our students remain well things like mask wearing, QR check in, we’re not having external visitors on site, assemblies or any gatherings so we’re going to be doing that for at least the first couple of weeks” Education Minister Sarah Mitchell said.

It’s a relief for more than 4000 HSC students in the region, due to start their exams in December.
