ARMIDALE TRAINER DISQUALIFIED AFTER INJECTING HORSE WITH ANABOLIC STEROID

Armidale horse trainer Mark Gwynne has been disqualified from racing for 22 months after injecting thoroughbred Bartandthequeen with an anabolic steroid last December.

Gwynne – who has more than 40 years experience in the industry – will need to reapply for his racing licence in 2023.

Bartandthequeen cannot race until December 12.

The vet who provided the steroid, has also had their Racing New South Wales permit suspended.
