NORTHERN NSW POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENCES

A police officer has been charged after an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

In May this year, Professional Standards Command officers began an investigation, after a domestic incident was reported to police.

Following inquiries, the 43-year-old male Northern Region senior constable was today issued a Court Attendance Notice for common assault and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

He’s been granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on September 20.

The officer’s duty status is under review.
