TAMWORTH’S LIBRARY MOVES ITS OPERATION ONLINE

Despite Tamworth Library’s doors closing during lockdown, online and delivery services have seen a rapid increase in demand.

Previously reserved for those unable to make it to town – now anyone can have a book taken straight to their door.

It’s proving popular – with staff pulling everything from home improvement manuals to fantasy novels, off the shelves.

“It’s been fantastic, it’s keeping us very busy because during last lockdown our click and collect was super popular and it has been missed since we’ve gone so since this service has come on we’ve been delivering hundreds of books.”

The online library is open 24 hours a day, with deliveries available six days a week.
