415 NEW COVID CASES IN NEW SOUTH WALES

New South Wales has recorded a slight dip in COVID cases overnight, with 415 new cases recorded.

At least 35 of those were infectious in the community.

Sadly the state recorded another four deaths overnight – a woman in her 50s at Campbelltown hospital, a woman in her 80s at Royal Prince Alfred, a man in his 80s at Liverpool hospital and a woman in her 70s at Royal North Shore.

There were nine new cases in the Hunter New England Health district.

Here’s a breakdown of those numbers:

Of these, two were infectious in the community, eight are linked and one is under investigation.

Two are associated with an aged care cluster.

Dr Kerry Chant said the Hunter’s health network is particularly concerned about the Maitland area, where there were “some new cases” overnight.

The Central Coast recorded two new cases.

Western New South Wales remains a major area of concern – there were 21 cases in the region.
