CAUTIOUS PLANNING STILL UNDERWAY FOR COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

As regional New South Wales is plunged into lockdown, Tamworth Regional Council is trying to remain optimistic.

It says planning for the city’s 50th Country Music Festival in January is still underway.

The ten-day event was cancelled this year.

Organisers say they’ll hold out on making a call on the 2022 festival.

“We can only live in hope that our Country Music Festival… that the situation improves and we’re able to run our 50th Anniversary in January.”

At this stage, the Festival is slated for the week of January 14.
