MOST SUCCESSFUL LE TOUR DE TAREE WRAPS UP

Club Taree has defied the odds in the pandemic, completing its most successful fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House.

More than $58,000 was drummed up through its annual Le Tour de Taree cycling challenge.

The funds will support 12 families in the Manning and Great Lakes area while their children are sick or injured in hospital.

“The team really got behind it this year and really wanted to make that difference and our members of course and our community supported us more than ever and I think it was a bit of a distraction from what else’s is going on in the world and it’s a chance to make that positive difference,” Club Taree CEO Paul Allan said.

The club has now raised more than $230,000 for the charity.

Planning is already underway for next year’s challenge.
