An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital this morning, amid fears he’d been bitten by a funnel web spider.
The boy was picked up by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter at a property at Stewarts Brook, east of Scone.
It’s understood he’d been playing in bushland, when he was bitten.
He was treated and discharged, with the hospital unable to confirm exactly what type of spider it was.
