Two people have been rescued after one of them was washed off rocks at Catherine Hill Bay this afternoon.
It’s believed a 21-year-old woman was washed off the rocks around midday, before a 17-year-old girl grabbed two inflatable life jackets and jumped in the water to help her.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter spotted the two women in the water before winching a paramedic down to pull them up one at a time.
The helicopter then landed nearby where the women were assessed by paramedics.
