A Lismore couple has celebrated a love enduring seven decades.
Roy and Betty Patch met at a dance in the town in their twenties, marrying a year later in 1951.
The love birds – now aged in their 90s – celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary today, surrounded by loved ones.
The pair sharing their secret to a happy marriage with NBN News…
“If he loves somebody that’s what he does and if you love him that’s what you do so therefore you can’t tear them apart,” says Roy.
Roy and Betty have lived in the Northern Rivers region their entire lives.
