A man left fighting for life after being assaulted in Tweed Heads last Saturday has died from his injuries.
His accused attacker, a 19-year-old man, now faces a charge of assault causing death, in addition to reckless grievous bodily harm.
He remains on bail and will reappear at Tweed Heads Local Court for committal in September.
