300 SUPERTEES FOR SICK CHILDREN IN THE HUNTER

Put a superhero costume on a child and you’ll see them transform – and the same thing happens in hospital with the Supertee.

Jason Sotiris created the medical gowns after his daughter Angela was diagnosed with cancer.

“No one wants to wear a hospital gown, you don’t want to look sick and feel sick and what these kids face and the stories I’ve come across they are heroes so they deserve a costume of their very own.”

Now more than 300 young patients at the John Hunter and Maitland hospitals will experience the “batman effect” for themselves – thanks to a generous donation from Orica

“We heard about this from one of our employees and the enthusiasm and what they are actually doing through the charity we thought we had to jump onboard.”
