GAV’S WEATHER | LOW FORMING OFFSHORE

An upper level cold pool can now be seen spiraling over the northern Tasman, developing into a surface level low off the coast.

The cloud band over the SE is linking up with the coastal system, producing a horseshoe cloud band around NSW.

The low will hug the coast, increasing winds and rain for the Central Coast, Newcastle and Mid North Coast regions.

Most of the wet weather will clear for Saturday, but isolated showers will return for parts of northern NSW on Mothers day.
