Smart use of space, and maintaining possession has led Riverina South West to a win in the final of the Combined High Schools AFL State Championships in Coffs Harbour.
Sydney North mounted a comeback in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to claim the gold, Riverina winning 69 to 32.
Meanwhile North Coast placed 5th overall.
At the conclusion of play, the CHS state team was announced, which will play against the Combined Catholic Colleges and Combined independent schools sides.
