New gaming data has revealed the Tweed is the poker machine capital of the Northern Rivers.
Liquor and Gaming New South Wales has reported pokies generated more than $40 million in profit across the shire between July and December last year.
Elsewhere, Ballina recorded more than $10 million for the same period – while Lismore generating 8 million.
Gaming machines in Richmond Valley and the Byron area also generated millions in revenue.
