GAV’S WEATHER | RAIN RETURNS TO THE COAST

The Queensland coast is heavily affected by cloud cover as the monsoon trough has drifted west, moving over the coastal region whole, spawning a sub-tropical low.

That low will intensify overnight and produce large amounts of rain across south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales.

Cloud and showers are going to increase along the coast, with heavier falls coming down across the Byron, Tweed and Gold Coast regions as the sub-tropical low intensifies, before moving into the Tasman in the coming days.
