POP-UP PANTRY SPREADING THE EASTER SPIRIT TO FLOOD VICTIMS

Many Aussie families have been left with very little this Easter after their livelihoods were washed away in the recent New South Wales flood emergency.

A multitude of charities have now pitched in, helping to provide food, clothing and furniture to those in need.

Among those is St Agnes’ Catholic Parish in Port Macquarie, which has set up a Pop-up Pantry where flood affected families can come and pick up food items free of charge.

It is hoped the food will lighten the financial load and bring a little joy this long weekend, while people get back on their feet.

Volunteer Jess Inglis says “We are collecting and donating goods to people affected by the floods and we have lots of supplies that we want to give away!”

Located at 110 William Street in Port Macquarie, the store will be open today from 8am-1pm and on weekdays from 8am-5pm.
