ARMIDALE COUNCIL TO DONATE 40 HAY BALES TO FLOOD-AFFECTED REGIONS

Armidale Regional Council has offered help to flood-affected communities.

A motion to donate 40 bales of hay to recovering towns has been passed unanimously.

The decision came after a transport company offered council its resources, free of charge, to haul the hay.

The fodder is expected to assist farmers restore the loss and damage of winter stocks.

Council says it will work alongside Local Land Services to distribute the hay.
