STATE INQUIRY TO INVESTIGATE WAYS KANGAROOS ARE CULLED

A state parliamentary inquiry will delve into the ways in which kangaroos, and similar marsupials, are culled.

The Greens believe the state’s kangaroo populations have already plummeted due to drought, bushfires and exclusion fencing.

The party says the inquiry will investigate the risk of current cull methods – and what happens to joeys after their mothers are killed.
