TAMWORTH CHURCH TAKES PART IN GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE RALLY

More than a hundred faith communities across Australia, including members of Tamworth City Uniting Church, came together today – calling on the government to take more action on climate change.

Presenting colourful signs of activism and banging a drum, the passionate group took part in a multi-faith Day of Action.

The local team focused on issues such as fossil fuels, the future of power stations and the 2030 net zero emissions target.

“We are part of a wider creation and we depend, so much, on the ecosystems of this planet and, if we destroy them, which we have been doing, then life will no longer be sustainable for us.”
