A Hunter man has been charged on outstanding warrants for serious domestic violence-related and firearms offences.
Police were called to Truscott Street, Raymond Terrace about 5.30 this morning, after a man tried to get into a home.
Officers say the 29-year-old man was wanted on four outstanding arrest warrants.
When police arrived at the home, the man was inside.
He tried to leave through a roof cavity, but was stopped by officers, before he was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
The 29-year-old was charged with a string of offences including stalking/intimidation and disqualified driving.
He was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court tomorrow.
