HORSES INJURED AFTER TRUCKS COLLIDE ON NEW ENGLAND HIGHWAY

A Hunter horse trainer is lucky to be alive, and a horse has died, after a transporter rolled on the New England Highway near Belford this morning.

Emergency services were called to the area around 4.30am, after reports two trucks, one carrying five horses, collided whilst headed northbound.

Both male drivers were uninjured and underwent a roadside breath test, returning negative results.

Reporter Madison Scott will have more on this, tonight at six.
