WOMAN RECOVERING IN HOSPITAL AFTER CRASH NEAR WALCHA

A woman is recovering in hospital after her car she left the road and collided with a tree near Walcha this morning.

The 48-year-old was trapped for some time before emergency crews freed her just after 3 o’clock.

She was treated by paramedics for serious leg and back injuries before being flown to Tamworth Base Hospital in a stable condition.
