PAIR CHARGED AFTER MAN KICKED, STABBED AND PUNCHED IN WALGETT

Two men have been charged after they allegedly kicked, stabbed and punched a man in Walgett last week.

Officers were called to a premises on Duff Street at around 7.30pm on Friday, where they found a 24-year-old man with multiple injuries.

He remains in a medically induced coma.

Following inquiries, two men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested today.

They’ve been charged with wounding with intent to murder and refused bail.
