Residents in the Singleton Muswellbrook area had a shake last night, with an earthquake recorded just before 10pm.
Around 200 people contacted Geoscience Australia which confirmed a 3.5 magnitude quake, originating about one kilometre underground, south of Muswellbrook.
There have been no reports of damage.
