BLUE-GREEN ALGAE LEVELS AT CLARRIE HALL DAM IN TWEED HEADS DROP

Algae levels are dropping at Clarrie Hall Dam in Tweed Heads, causing council to downgrade its initial warning from red to green.

Tweed Shire Council says these levels mean the blue-green algae no longer poses a threat to recreational activities or livestock.

Weekly testing at Uki, Bray Park and Tyalgum will continue throughout the algal bloom season.
